i closed my eyes...
immediately, i was thrust into a maelstrom of emotions. darkness, then light- flashes of light. memories of icy red soil and mud walls towering over me- stark and powerful. i was alone on this land, this planet? where was i?
i felt like i was caught in the action of StarWars and believed that i would have preferred to acquaint myself with HoneyStars.

then, the lids of my eyes parted. a monster was lain beside me. it's body. liveless.
it looked like one of those million-eyed monsters you'll find in the power-puff girls cartoon. the one that zaps townsville with it's angry supersonic rays and incinerates the whole city into ashes. but there were no three little girls beside me- red, blue and green. the only soul pressent in the whole neighbourhood was me, leaning against the edge of a high-rised balcony. the world was at the bottom of my feet.

then my memory returned. i was on a mission to retrive a bronze eygptian necklace. for what was the purpose of my quest, i had not a single clue. but automatically, i stuck my hand into the monster's stomach and pulled out the prize. i was the only survivor in my group and another from the other side was alive too. two groups, two ideologies, one operation, one war. i knew i could not tell the other i had found the necklace and so, i keep it snug in my right pocket.

i met up with the other a few minutes later as apparently, we had come to terms with each other that co-existing together was the only reason that kept us alive. we had no one else to depend on, no one else to save us.

'Hurry! i've found a way to get us out!'
'Alright!' i said, picking myself up. the silent secret of my discovery was delicious.

both of us ran out through the door of the apartment and raced down the endless flight of stairs..

then i was trasported into another world.

it was a garden, like adam's garden..
the literature exam had started and i realised i was late. immediately, i pushed past the crowd and settled myself infront of a desk. the structure of the paper was horrendously peculiar. strange.. i could not find the text i was studying amongst the list of books present there. fantically, i flipped though the stack of papers that lay before me.

forget it, i told myself, do the unseen first. but guess what? the unseen text consisted of a mere rectangular box with approximately 50 words in it and underneathe it was the personal response box straightened out with 6 horizontal lines.

it was utterly absurd!

then i heard the cry of an old lady some distance away.. i had to help her. dispensing the paper, i trailed the ominous voice that was bidding me to go...

the alarm sounded. again, i was sucked out of this dreamland. it was 6 in the morning.

right, it's now time to get down to mugging for my literature paper..
wake up, vanessa! it's not yet time for you to save the world..

Fine, i'll admit it- I can be absolutely brainless sometimes. But! But! But! I stress on the word 'SOMETIMES'. spell 'Seventeen', 'Hospitality and Tourism Management', 'HipHop and Modern Dance' and your name(: and you've got me!
