i feel like we're drifting apart
practically lightyears away.
just like pluto and the sun.
no idea why
or perhaps
am i paranoid?
maybe.

but just yesterday,
when i sat by you and saw you cry
i really tried my best to help.
to cheer you up
well,
that's what friends are for right?
and i hope i did.
i tried to make you laugh
and at least,
smile?
and thank God you did.
but i was left without a thank you.

that day.
i thought i had gotten back the old you
i thought that we could catch up
with the old times that was left stagnant.
but.

it's ok.
perhaps you forgot.
you had your troubles too
i didn't expect much
i didn't yearn for those words.
in fact,
i didnt even notice it too
until today..

i realised that with just a word and a phone call from that person.
*blinks*
there's your smile
there's you laughter.
there's the light that just brightens up
similar to that of a child is when she recieves a present.
i felt helpless.
i felt that i had lost my friend.
my reliever.
my bestie.

no doubt
you still call my ur bestie.
but do you really mean it?

nevermind.
at least you're happy now.

friends only come in when you need them i guess..
and perhaps it was just my wishful thinking on my part.
to actually think of redeming back the old times.
i guess it can never be the same anymore?
